Bringing Chinese Scientific Innovation to the World: CHANDO Group Showcases Its Research at COSMETIC 360, Unveiling Its Findings on Fatigue-Related Aging to the International Community for the First Time

Release time:

On October 14–15, the 12th edition of COSMETIC 360, organized by Cosmetic Valley, was held at the Louvre Palace in Paris, France. Representing China’s beauty industry, CHANDO Group showcased its five brands alongside a range of research-driven ingredient innovations, while also participating in the 2026 International Cosmetic Innovation Summit (INPD). At the event, the Group unveiled its research findings on fatigue-related aging to the international community for the first time, together with its key ingredient, HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide. The ingredient also won the INPD International Innovative Ingredient Award, becoming a major highlight of the Group’s participation. Through a keynote presentation, an international roundtable discussion, and a two-day exhibition, CHANDO Group engaged in in-depth dialogue with beauty industry peers from around the world.

Taking the Main Stage at the Louvre: Decoding “Fatigue-Related Aging” Through the Lens of East Asian Skin

With “REGENERATIONS” as its theme, this year’s COSMETIC 360 brought together more than 260 exhibitors from over 20 countries, including leading international beauty groups, supply chain companies, and scientific research institutions. It is one of the global beauty industry’s premier innovation events. “Regeneration” is also a key research focus to which CHANDO Group has devoted more than a decade: how to help skin recover its vitality when affected by fatigue. On October 15, Dr. Jiang Shanshan, Medical Doctor and Science Communications Officer at CHANDO Group’s R&D Center, was invited to deliver a keynote presentation on the summit’s main stage. Titled Chronic Stress-Induced Aging: A New Paradigm for Anti-Aging Research in East Asian Skin, the presentation explored a new approach to addressing fatigue-related skin aging in East Asian populations.

Since 2024, CHANDO Group has collaborated with the team led by Wang Sijia at the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to investigate the increasing prevalence of premature aging among Chinese women. A comparison of data from 2018 and 2023 revealed that the overall wrinkle-aging inflection point had advanced by approximately four years over the five-year period, suggesting that East Asian skin may be showing signs of aging both earlier and more rapidly. Lifestyle factors associated with fatigue—including shorter sleep duration, the younger age of onset of smoking and alcohol consumption, and cumulative stress—were significantly correlated with the earlier appearance of facial wrinkles.

Building on these findings, CHANDO Group pioneered the concept of “Fatiguescence (Fatigue-Aging)” and extended its research to mitochondrial function and cellular energy supply, exploring the mechanisms surrounding PGC-1α, a key regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis. From more than 600 polar microbial strains collected in the Himalayas, the Group selected its core ingredient, the polar yeast HiMurchaSin®. Leveraging AI-driven computational biology, the team then screened a database containing more than 2.8 million yeast protein sequences to identify HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide, designed to target and regulate PGC-1α. Efficacy testing demonstrated that the ingredient can effectively promote cellular and mitochondrial biogenesis, helping address fatigue-related aging. This research offers a new perspective on anti-aging science grounded in the characteristics of East Asian skin.

Following the keynote, CHANDO Group joined three internationally renowned experts for a roundtable discussion titled East Meets West: Anti-Aging Research and the Anti-Aging Cosmetics Market. The panel explored global trends in anti-aging research and industry development from multiple perspectives, including skin science, scientific innovation and commercialization, brand strategy, and international markets.

Bringing Chinese Ingredients to the World: HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide Wins the INPD International Innovative Ingredient Award

During the summit, the results of the 2026 INPD International Cosmetic Innovation Competition were announced. HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide, a key ingredient independently developed by CHANDO Group using AI technology and guided by its anti-fatigue-aging research, received the “INPD International Innovative Ingredient Award.” Testing showed that its penetration capacity is 8.5 times that of conventional tetrapeptides. By precisely targeting PGC-1α, a key regulator of mitochondrial energy metabolism, the ingredient helps energize cells and address fatigue-related aging at its source. It has been incorporated into the 7th Generation CHANDO Little Purple Bottle Age-Defying Essence, launched in April 2026, and the refreshed CHANDO Little Purple Bottle Ultra-Anti-Aging Cream, launched in August.

HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide Wins the INPD International Innovative Ingredient Award

This marks CHANDO Group’s return to the INPD international awards stage, following its 2024 win for “Research and Application of the Polar Yeast HiMurchaSin®.” From polar yeast HiMurchaSin® to HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide, Chinese ingredient technology is steadily expanding its international reach and gaining recognition from authoritative international platforms.

Five Brands Unite at COSMETIC 360 to Showcase In-House Ingredient Innovations

As a representative of China’s beauty industry at the exhibition, CHANDO Group presented its five brands—CHANDO, MAYSU, BIORRIER, imine, and SPRING SUMMER—showcasing its accumulated expertise in skin science and ingredient technology, as well as its innovations in product development. The exhibition featured the Group’s portfolio of independently developed and manufactured core ingredients, including Himalayan polar yeast HiMurchaSin® and HiMurchaSin® Ultra-Anti-Aging Peptide, Space Rose Cell PDRN, Gentiana veitchiorum flower, Space Ginseng Yeast, fermented finger millet, Fure Love Baby, and Reverse Light Shield 509, alongside the hero products formulated with these ingredients. The displays attracted considerable interest from international visitors, who stopped to explore and try the products, illustrating the journey from in-house ingredient research to consumer-facing innovations.

CHANDO Group Exhibition Area

To date, CHANDO Group has independently developed more than 20 core ingredients. Its R&D Center houses 20 laboratories and has established research capabilities across three major disciplines: skin science, ingredient science, and product science. In April this year, the Group also established the Joint Laboratory for Scientific Beauty and Health with the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The collaboration will deepen research into areas including mitochondrial anti-aging and precise skin barrier classification, translating advances in fundamental science into product innovation.

Through its presence in Paris, CHANDO Group presented a comprehensive picture of China’s approach to beauty technology to the global industry: building on independently developed ingredients, starting from research into East Asian skin, and striving to bring “Chinese ingredients” to the world with “world-class quality.”
