CHANDO Sustainable Development: Himalayan Biodiversity Conservation Project
In 2016, CHANDO with the China Environmental Protection Foundation to establish the “CHANDO Himalayan Environmental Protection Public Welfare Fund,” dedicated to the conservation of Himalayan glaciers, rare plants and animals, and unique cultures, while showcasing the Himalayas’ myriad colors and vibrant vitality to the world through various initiatives. To date, CHANDO has donated a total of 31.2 million yuan to the China Environmental Protection Foundation. From 2017 to 2024, CHANDO carried out the “Planting Grass in the Himalayas” public welfare project for eight consecutive years, planting a total of 6.66 million square meters of green wheatgrass. The project was recognized by the United Nations as a “Biodiversity 100+ Global Best Practice.” In 2025, the project was officially upgraded to the “CHANDO Sustainable Development Himalayan Biodiversity Conservation Project (2025–2030),” which promotes the coordinated development of the environment, society, and business in the Himalayan region through more systematic and scientific actions.

In response to the calls of the "Women's Action for Rural Revitalization" and the "Young Talent Development Initiative", as of 2025, CHANDO, in collaboration with the China Children and Teenagers' Fund, has provided financial assistance to 860 female college and high-school students in the Himalayan region. UNDP Global Success Stories
In 2011, the Group established a strategic partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for an initial period of four years and a second period of five years, becoming the first private enterprise to cooperate with UNDP in China, and working together on the "Sustainable Development of Ethnic Minority Cultural Industries in China Project", which supports "Yunnan Mosuo Handmade Textile","Yunnan Huaswa Dai Handicrafts","Hubei Tujia Silankap" and "Hainan Li Brocade".
