Raw Material Technology as Core: Accelerating Domestic Substitution to Build a Moat for Chinese Beauty Brands
Core raw materials are often called the "chip" of cosmetics. CHANDO Group breaks the reliance on imports through self-developed technology, building industry barriers. This is not only crucial for the core competitiveness of beauty enterprises but also an essential path for Chinese brands to gain a voice in the global industrial chain. As a leading Chinese cosmetics enterprise, CAHNDO Group advocates accelerating the process of domestic raw materials substitution. Chairman and President Zheng Chunying stated: "CHANDO Group will continue to increase investment in self-researched and self-produced ingredients, keeping the 'chip' of beauty in our own hands, and making technology benefit consumers."
For years, CAHNDO Group has leveraged its strong R&D capabilities to draw inspiration from the water, plants, minerals, and microorganisms of the Himalaya to develop product raw materials. Up till now, it has independently developed over 20 cosmetic ingredients, including HiMurchaSin Yeast Fermentation Filtrate & Lysate and Wild Rosa Graciliflora Cell Clusters, which are applied in numerous products such as the CHANDO Rejuvenation Repairing Series, MAYSU Rose Collagen Replenishing Series, and imine Soothing Protecting Cream.
Among these, HiMurchaSin, a yeast component CHANDO Group has dedicated over a decade to researching, utilizes unique microbes discovered in the Himalaya. Pioneering the use of fifth-generation biotech fermentation globally, it promotes autologous cell renewal and delivers significant anti-aging effects. It is a powerful tool for enhancing product competitiveness and replacing expensive imported alternatives.
Reportedly, in 2013, CHANDO Group's R&D team ventured deep into the heart of the Himalaya, the brand's origin. Through gene sequencing, they isolated 558 unique strains, establishing a Himalayan Characteristic Microorganism Library. In collaboration with the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, they successfully developed the yeast component HiMurchaSin with potent repair and cell renewal capabilities. In 2024, HiMurchaSin underwent technological innovation with the significant release of HiMurchaSin Fermentation Filtrate & Lysate. Based on the concept of cellular-level renewal and a root-cause solution for combating "fatigue-aging", it sets a new benchmark for domestic fermented ingredients.
CHANDO Group Defines Anti-Fatigue-Aging Solution, Launches New Rejuvenation Repairing Series Emulsion
At the on-site salon "Research on Skin Aging Rejuvenation in Chinese Women and CHANDO's Solutions", Dr. Jiang Shanshan, Scientific Mechanism Expert at CHANDO Group's R&D Center, released scientific insights on "Fatigue-Induced Aging" – its first definition and research findings on its mechanisms. She analyzed the causes of this phenomenon from multiple angles, including market research data and joint research projects, and presented CHANDO Group's solution.
A team led by Wang Sijia from the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted a systematic analysis of quantitative big data on facial skin aging from over 300,000 women across 32 Chinese provinces. They identified acceleration inflection points for various facial aging phenotypes and found statistical evidence supporting a trend of skin aging rejuvenation among Chinese women. Comparative analysis of groups with different stress levels also revealed that mental stress might regulate the expression of key skin cytokines by reducing DNA methylation levels, thereby exacerbating skin dullness.
Joint research by the CHANDO Group R&D Center and the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health found that over the past three years, the inflection point for skin aging in Chinese women has advanced by approximately two years. Facial aging phenotypes like crow's feet, nasolabial folds, and tear troughs showed significant acceleration inflection points between ages 24-33. Fatigue-induced aging caused by improper diet, staying up late, and stress is the main reason for this earlier aging.
Addressing this trend, the CHANDO Rejuvenation Repairing Series precisely targets consumer anti-aging needs and pain points. It incorporates HiMurchaSin Fermentation Filtrate & Lysate, utilizing 940 cell-homologous kinetic small molecules to achieve 8x cellular-level renewal and 3x collagen promotion. It fundamentally improves issues like facial dullness, sagging, and roughness caused by skin cells under prolonged high-stress stimulation, lack of sleep, and overtime work. "One set reverses it all, bidding farewell to fatigue-induced aging." At this year's expo, the newly launched pioneering Anti-Fatigue-Aging family – the Rejuvenation Repairing Series – garnered significant attention and favor from consumers.
Aerospace Technology Empowers Product Innovation, CHANDO Sets New Scientific Skincare Benchmark
At this CBE, CHANDO Group invited dermatologists, R&D experts, and product managers to share the Group's research achievements in space breeding, scalp micro-ecology, and infant micro-ecology.
At the salon "Microgravity in Space Activates the Code for Rose Stem Cell Activity", the star product "CHANDO Pink Diamond Firming Delicate Rose Cream" was unveiled. Its core ingredient, "Space Rose Extract", originates from the Pan-Himalayan Rare Rose Seed Resource Bank at an altitude of 3,300 meters. The R&D team selected one rare native Chinese species from Shangri-La out of over 30,000 varieties, collecting more than 3,000 seeds. Through space microgravity breeding and plant cell tissue culture, they enriched higher concentrations and a greater diversity of highly effective skincare components. Combined with small-molecule carnosine and the third-generation encapsulated Retinol-HRP Penetration Chamber technology, it achieves a 6x increase in transdermal absorption rate, directly targeting signs of aging at the skin's foundation.
Similarly leveraging aerospace technology, the hair care product CHANDO Volumizing & Fortifying Shampoo"3D Hair Volume! Micro-ecological Barrier + Aerospace Tech = Hair Volume Comeback". CHANDO Group R&D Center experts deciphered the "space-grade" secret to hair volume on-site. It contains Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Extract from the Pan-Himalayan region at 2,500 meters and utilizes the breakthrough "Dual-Ion Polymer Interlacing Support Technology". This technology, based on hair behavior research in microgravity environments, uses positive and negative ion cross-linking adsorption to form a mesh support structure on the hair surface, keeping hair voluminous and upright without flattening. The effect lasts up to 48 hours.
The pediatric skin science efficacy brand imine, in collaboration with dermatology experts from the National Children's Medical Center & Children's Hospital of Fudan University, released the "Fuer Aibeijian Micro-ecological Balance Patent Technology". Zhang Guodong, Director of Product Development at CHANDO Group's R&D Center, unveiled the technology on-site. He stated that the product "imine Soothing Protecting Cream (Little Green Jar AD Cream)", utilizing this core technology, has achieved breakthrough progress in a clinical study on non-drug intervention for atopic dermatitis at Fudan Children's Hospital: the mid-term clinical observation report showed a recurrence rate reduction of over 3 times.
Furthermore, the science-based skincare brand Biorrier, focused on repairing the skin barrier with biotechnology, showcased products like the Biorrier Anti-Sensitive Repairing Cream and Anti-Sensitive Repairing Masque at CBE. These incorporate Sekiriyama Hot Spring Water, emphasizing soothing and repairing effects. CHANDO Group's research paper on hot spring water was also officially accepted by the World Congress of Dermatology (WCD), gaining recognition for its repair efficacy from the top tier of dermatological academia.
CHANDO Group Announces Carbon Reduction Targets for the First Time, Actively Practices Sustainable Development
