On August 8, the Consulate General of Singapore in Shanghai held an advance National Day reception to celebrate Singapore’s 58th anniversary. Mr. Zheng Chunying, Chairman of JALA Group, attended the event as a representative of the leadership of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He joined Shanghai Vice Mayor Zhang Xiaohong, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office Bei Zhaojian, Singapore’s Consul General in Shanghai Cai Denghé, and invited representatives from chambers of commerce and enterprises to commemorate Singapore’s 58th National Day. Chairman Zheng and Consul General Cai delivered a toast together on stage.
The event concluded as a resounding success, with heartfelt gratitude extended to Vice Mayor Zhang Xiaohong of Shanghai for his gracious invitation, as well as to the leaders, distinguished guests, and friends from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces for their esteemed presence. Singapore and the Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Anhui region have long maintained robust relations, with cooperation spanning multiple fields. Moving forward, both sides will strive to elevate their collaborative partnership to new heights.
