Themed Salons: Annual Scientific Breakthroughs Released from Cellular Mechanisms to Epigenetics

CHANDO: Decoding “Fatigue-Induced Aging” with a Root-Cause Solution Powered by HiMurchaS® Super Anti-Aging Peptide

As one of the core scientific achievements presented at this year’s CBE, CHANDO Group’s raw material development expert from the R&D Center systematically explained the Group’s latest breakthrough in fatigue-induced aging at the salon titled “The Molecular Mechanism of Fatigue-Induced Aging in Skin Cells and the HiMurchaS® Super Anti-Aging Peptide Solution.”

Over the past 25 years, CHANDO Group has built three major scientific systems covering skin science, raw material science, and product science, as well as four major technology platforms for raw material development, formula development, packaging development, and evaluation and testing.

The expert then focused on the emerging scientific concept of “fatigue-induced aging.” According to reports from CNR, CHANDO, in collaboration with the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, conducted a quantitative analysis of facial skin aging big data from more than 300,000 women across 32 provinces and municipalities in China. The study identified a notable trend: compared with 2018, the total wrinkle-aging inflection point among Chinese women in 2023 appeared around four years earlier, showing signs of earlier aging, faster aging, and an earlier acceleration period.

Further research revealed that fatigue-related lifestyles, such as poor diet, staying up late, and mental stress, can accelerate skin aging by affecting mitochondrial function. As the “energy factories” of cells, dysfunctional mitochondria directly lead to insufficient cellular energy supply, reduced collagen synthesis, and earlier formation of wrinkles and sagging.

To address this mechanism, CHANDO used its AI computational biology platform to screen and modify more than 2.8 million yeast proteins, successfully developing HiMurchaS® Super Anti-Aging Peptide. This ingredient directly targets the mitochondrial energy switch PGC1α, increasing its expression to 1.7 times and enabling precise cellular recharging.

Experimental data shows that the penetration power of HiMurchaS® Super Anti-Aging Peptide is 8.5 times that of traditional tetrapeptides. It helps promote cell renewal and collagen regeneration, delivering firming and anti-wrinkle benefits. The CHANDO Super Anti-Aging Little Purple Bottle 7th Generation, powered by this ingredient, contains 7 million yeast extracts in every drop. Without requiring consumers to change their lifestyles, it combats skin’s fatigue-induced aging at the source. This breakthrough provides Chinese women with a scientific skincare solution specifically targeting fatigue-related aging.

CHANDO: A New Breakthrough in “577” Brightening Technology, Controlling Pigmentation from the Epigenetic Source

At the salon titled “Pigment Management for Asian Skin: CHANDO’s New Breakthrough in 577 Brightening Technology,” a product development expert from CHANDO Group R&D Center noted that the pigment characteristics of Asian skin — being prone to darkening, yellowing, and redness — require more precise intervention.

CHANDO 577 can target and inhibit UV-induced characteristic microRNA, blocking the production of key enzymes involved in melanin synthesis at the epigenetic level. This pathway acts further upstream and closer to the source than traditional brightening ingredients. The research achievement was presented at IMCAS Paris 2026, a world-leading medical congress, and has been successfully applied to the Snow Skin Radiance 577 Little White Diamond Brightening Essence.

MAYSU: Empowering Skin Youthfulness with Space Technology and Driving Precision Anti-Aging

At the salon titled “Empowering Skin Youthfulness with Space Technology: MAYSU’s Space-Bred Super Ingredients for Medical-Aesthetic-Grade Precision Anti-Aging,” a product development expert from CHANDO Group R&D Center systematically introduced MAYSU’s research journey in space skincare.

In 2013, CHANDO Group launched Asia’s first space bioscience research project by a cosmetics company through the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft. Over four years and 1,253 experiments, the team screened “space yeast” strains returned from space and combined them with Changbai Mountain ginseng ingredients to ultimately develop Space Ginseng Extract, an ingredient with exceptional basal-layer repair capabilities. In 2016, wild Shangri-La little rose seeds were carried into space aboard the Shijian-10 satellite. Combined with plant tissue culture technology, this led to the successful cultivation of Space Rose Cell Clusters.

MAYSU has built a scientific research system covering space dermatology, a million-level skin data bank, six patents for new anti-aging targets in skin epigenetics, and 3D skin models. The brand also holds eight application patents and has published twelve authoritative research papers. In product application, MAYSU has applied Space Ginseng Extract to products such as Space Yeast Ampoules, Space Ginseng Essence Water, and Regenerating Essence. It has also applied Space Rose Cell Clusters to the Little Rose Collagen Series, pioneering rose collagen peptide technology to promote the collagen network. Its hero product, MAYSU Space Cream, once traveled to space aboard Shenzhou-13, providing skincare solutions for concerns such as dryness, volume loss, and sagging caused by the microgravity environment.

SPRING SUMMER: Reverse-Light Shield 509 Specializes in Anti-Photoaging for Asian Skin

At the salon hosted by SUPRING SUMMER, a professional sunscreen brand focused on anti-photoaging for Asian skin, the brand released its Nobel Prize-inspired core anti-photoaging technology. The inspiration comes from the key achievement of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine: the important role of microRNA in post-transcriptional gene regulation. A skin science expert from CHANDO Group R&D Center explained that the SUPRING SUMMER research team developed anti-photoaging and sunscreen applications based on hsa-microRNA-509-5p, a unique photoaging target in Asian skin. When this factor increases, it reduces the level of HIF1A, a photoprotective protein responsible for resisting oxidative stress in the skin, thereby accelerating skin photoaging. Based on this finding, SUPRING SUMMER created the original Reverse-Light Shield 509 technology. Combined with three plateau botanical ingredients from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau — tea extract, tea seed oil, and chebula fruit extract — the technology can effectively inhibit microRNA-509 expression and provide customized anti-photoaging protection for Asian skin at the epigenetic level. SUPRING SUMMERhas also launched five commercially available sunscreen products, covering a full range of scenarios including daily commuting, outdoor activities, and different climate conditions.

Biorrier, a science-based functional skincare brand specializing in skin barrier health, joined hands with the authoritative industry research institution Qingyan Intelligence, nutrition and health research institutions, and dermatology experts to release research findings on skin phenotype heterogeneity in the Chinese population. During the expo, a product planning expert from CHANDO Group R&D Center officially released the Biorrier Barrier Health White Paper: Precision Typing Theory and Root-Cause Restoration Solutions. The expert explained, “Precision typing is like drawing a ‘cause map’ for each person’s skin. It helps us understand where the skin problem comes from and identify the right scientific restoration path.” Based on bioinformatics research, Biorrier conducted target mining on 926 small molecules in its self-developed ingredient Finger Millet Ferment Extract, identifying seven core targets related to the skin barrier and clarifying the “ingredient–target–efficacy” mechanism. Built on extensive skin data from the Chinese population, the white paper proposes a theory of precision barrier typing and root-cause restoration solutions, providing a more targeted scientific basis for sensitive skin care.
