Upon entering the exhibition hall, visitors are welcomed into the “Looking Up at the Star Box” space-themed exhibition series, jointly curated by CHANDO Group and Shanghai Astronomy Museum. Following the narrative structure of “Understanding the Universe,” “Exploring the Universe” and “Living in the Universe,” the exhibition moves step by step from the cosmological view of the Big Bang, to the construction of China’s space station, and then to everyday life in space, guiding audiences on a journey from Earth toward the stars, and from imagination to reality.
The exhibition features precious exhibits such as a miniature model of Tiangong and the structural model of the Shenzhou-7 companion satellite, quietly telling the story of humankind’s courage and wisdom in flying toward deep space.
The “Looking Up at the Star Box” series is a new astronomy science micro-exhibition launched by Shanghai Astronomy Museum last year. With the concept of a “walking astronomy museum,” the series aims to bring astronomy science into citizens’ 15-minute community life circles. Following this collaboration, the space-themed “Looking Up at the Star Box” exhibition will be brought to more communities, schools, libraries and other public spaces, making astronomy more accessible to the public.
